#This car was designed and built by Douglas Hartley, an Airframe fitter from Rhyl, between 1961 and 1968. It is fitted with a Ford Crossflow engine and gearbox, rear axle and suspension and the front widnscreen from a Ford Corsair. The seats and interior were gleaned from various Fords.
Douglas made the space frame chassis on which he mounted his own front suspension and springs. He skinned his framework with aluminium panels of his own design completed in his home workshop.
He made all the details such as door handles, light surrounds, air vents and hooded headlights to complete the car. An interesting feature is the luggage boot which opens out complete with sides to form a luggage locker.
