"The 1889 St. Mark's Parish Church was designed by Denver architects Lang and Pugh. The exterior of the church is faced in buff Longmont sandstone and the interior is finished in rough-hewn native stone, paneled oak, and black ash trim. Its design is best described as Gothic, although a tower and turret at the front entry were removed in the early 1950s due to structural problems. In addition to religious services and ceremonies, the Parish also sponsored musical and dramatic performances that became popular social gatherings." Description from:…
