This "gathering-room" was the first of my modern-styled designs. My clients actually hesitated hiring me because all of my work -prior to meeting them- had been traditionally based. I acquired the clients by donating 10 hours of professional design services to the District of Columbia’s Human Rights Campaign "silent auction." When I presented the design to them at our second meeting, they were floored and whipped out their checkbook. The framed sketch hanging in the background is signed by Picasso.
